2013 Membership and Support Drive

Kid's Saturday Art Camp

Dear Parkside Supporter,

The 2013 Parkside Arts Council Membership drive is currently underway.  We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support of the Arts in Antrim County.
Your membership has enabled us to accomplish so much this past year.
  • Parkside Arts Council moved into their downtown Bellaire location just over a year ago with the assistance of the Begonia Charitable Foundation and what a year it has been.
  • We opened our doors for Harvest Festival October 2011 and have been showcasing regional artists and offering community classes ever since.
  • In 2011/2012, Parkside had 1000 visitors to its downtown gallery and provided over 600 hours in programming in partnership with ISLAND (Institute for Sustainable Living, Art, and Natural Design).
We’re proud of what we’ve been able to do and we could not have done it without you.
In the coming months, Parkside is excited to reveal its Winter & Spring Youth and Adult arts programming
·         Various art programming that includes:
o        6 week Kids Saturday Art Class and a 6 week satellite afterschool program at Mancelona Public School
o        Weekly Life Drawing class
o        Several marketing workshops for working artists.
Along with an ongoing Members’ Gallery, featuring for sale works by local artisans, Parkside strives to “promote economic development through quality arts and education in our region.”

Please renew your membership with us today!
A yearly family membership starts at $50.00, and if you renew your membership before March 1st, 2013 you will receive $10.00 in “Parkside Bucks.”  These can be used towards your purchase of items at the Members’ Gallery, or you can use it towards any one of our classes or workshops offered through out the year.  Once you become a member, you are entitled to discounted classes and workshops, monthly event newsletters, member appreciation events and are welcome to join us for any of our local events.
We want to provide an arts council that the community wants. Provide programming for our children, support systems for our working artists, and cultural opportunities. Without help from our community to direct our efforts, we aren’t serving our purpose of supporting participation, awareness, education, appreciation and inspiration in the areas of visual art, music, theater, dance and writing in Antrim County.
Parkside Arts Council looks forward for another great year in the Bellaire Community Hall, and we again want to thank you for your continued support.  Be sure to stop into the Member’s Gallery at 202 N. Bridge St, Downtown Bellaire, Thurs-Fri 4-7pm & Sat. 12-5pm.

Sincerely,
Tom Brown
President, Parkside Arts Council
