"88 Skates" -A tribute to the history of the Bellaire Community Hall. Using original roller skates from the days when the Community Hall was a roller rink and a gymnasium, Parkside is inviting area artists to re-interpret the roller skate. This will be part of the week long exhibit during Bellaire's annual Rubber Ducky Festival in August.
For a $15 entry fee, artists will receive one skate and a place in the August Exhibit "88 Skates". Skates can be picked up at the gallery at 202 N. Bridge St.
Works will be for sale with a maximum price of $150. 30% commission will be taken on all sales with 10% of sales going to the Bellaire Historical Museum. Deadline for Submission is August 10, 2012. Contact Rachel Krino for more information at info@parksidearts.org
